Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Bangladesh. It is located in Kurmitola, about 17 km north of Dhaka city center. The airport serves as the main hub for the national flag carrier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, and several other domestic and international airlines. The airport has three passenger terminals - Terminal 1 for domestic flights, Terminal 2 for international flights, and Terminal 3 for Hajj flights. It also has a cargo terminal and a VIP terminal. The airport offers various amenities and services for passengers such as restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, lounges, prayer rooms, and medical facilities. Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport handles over 21 million passengers annually and serves destinations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
